Pretty good dream. Don't think Chicago takes that. But not bad.

Interesting, but jOHNSON and Portillo have probably very limited, if any, trade value as both are looking at going unsigned and hitting UFA

They may wish to sign somewhere other than buffalo to start their ELC clock this year, rather than next

Johnson is a guaranteed 2nd if he walks on you guys. Team who has his rights when they expire automatically get a 2nd rnd pick because of his draft status. So your basically getting 2 1st and 2 2nds

All good responses and certainly 2 1sts and 2 2nds is a nice return, however I think without a real player in there, its alot of of maybes and shots in the dark. Possibly sub out Johnson or the 2nd and input someone playing now, but not part of the long haul Buffalo team or struggling.

Someone like a Jost or Mittlestadt (or even a Bryson) might work, both are/have had pretty meh years (historically too) and hard to judge whether either can elevate from what we've seen so far, and both are not the cheapest RFAs. (Is mittelstadt worth 3mil or more? As a 2.5mil RFA, its hard based on his history to think long term deal at 3+ mil).

Mitts is on pace for 45-50pts this year. He has 28 in 48 right know. On the right team he could flourish.

While I agree, its hard to project him getting to 45-50, when his history is so checkered (mostly injuries), and ultimately even in the above roster hes your 3C, and an 2.5mil expiring RFA who might be looking at 4mil or more, I'm just unsure hes reliable or good enough long term, but ultimately it might not be mittlestadt, it could be any young guy whos shown flashes of elevating his game at the NHL level

Obviously BUF does this deal with an eye to resigning Meier, I'm just saying futures alone might not be enough for SJS, they might someone young that has shown glimpses already like a Mittlesdtadt

I would think they would, wouldn't be surprised if they ask for JJ or Quinn. I just don't think Buffalo would include them, especially with this year's 1st included.

Swap the Vegas 2nd for the Philly 2nd and it's a lot better

Yeah was doing some fake trades with other Hawk fans awhile back. Philadelphia's 2nd and Bloom seemed fair then. He's having a decent year, might need to add something know though.
