Canucks aren't taking Johansen unless you pay significantly for them to take him

I don't think signing Horvat to an 8.15m AAV is smart but considering RJo is getting paid 8m, I do think that move would be smart for NSH. Problem is that Vancouver would want nothing to do with RJo at 8m, since they are looking to free up cap space, and considering his production.

If Vancouver is intending buying out OEL and they could trade Boeser or Garland this season, then maybe they can acquire Ekholm in a Horvat trade instead of RJo or RJo with 3m retention if Ekholm can get traded elsewhere.

Why would Buffalo trade a pick with hinostroza?

Preds would have to add quite abit more imo. Johansen dosent have much value and Fabbro is not looking great, I believe he was even healthy scratched this year.

Other than horvat playing out of his mind to get paid in a contract year on a team that's going nowhere, he's not much better than Johansen. This would be terrible for Nashville. I hope they do it.

Horvat is having an amazing season, but compare Johansen and Horvat stats besides this season. Not a big difference. Canucks are also getting a lottery pick + a top 4 d-man. Pretty good value I would say.

This makes no sense for the Sabers Hinostroza has one year left on his contract with more than enough cap space.

Nothing smart about trading all that for Horvat, or giving him that extension. NSH declines.
