Yeah ur getting a top 3 pick and a future top 5 pick for a pending UFA to a team who is not even close to contending... Also no chance the Kings do that

So you can't get durzi for Johansson, if you lose Dylan and trade him for futures and not ready now pieces your extending the rebuild and not spending in free agency the next season. You sell the farm sign a couple vet guys for 2 years because that's what yzerman always does and you wait for Kasper and cossa and edvinsson and whoever we get this year and see how it looks in 3 years.

Read the trade, it says any team willing to give up 2 firsts. Anaheim is a placeholder team clearly.

But would the Red Wings allow him to talk to teams about an extension? Would he want to make that call as soon as he's traded? If he's leaving his home and the place he's played his whole career, and he's so close to UFA, would he not want to go to open market? If such is the case, no team should give up 2 1st Rd picks.

Horvat is a distinct possibility with or without Larkin resigning. I think a team wth horvat, domi, copp and Kasper down the middle can compete with lethal shooters like pasta and a rehabbed vrana on the wing. Especially with Rasmussen, Veleno and Fabbri able to take face offs when injuries happen. Defence looks super solid with chariot in the press box. Johansson ++ to get the Durzi deal done.

If Larkin isn't interested in staying just ask him where he wants to play. An extended Larkin should fetch 2 1sts, a 1st and 2nd at the very least

Actually I don't mind the trade. Any team that trades for him is true contender and probably don't have for him next season. No reason why Larkin doesn't sign with the Wings in the summer, even if traded at TDL

If Hagel gets 2 1sts I'm positive that Larkin does

Johansson has exactly 37 games in North American professional hockey. Durzi has 111 games in the NHL, is our second-unit power-play QB, and is scoring at the rate of almost half a point a game, despite being played on his off side this season due to team mis-construction. This offer is almost as bad as us suggesting Sam Helenius for Simon Edvinsson.

Who is giving up two firsts for Larkin when Toews, ROR, Horvat, and possibly Henrique are also available?

Might want to check your notes on that one, Tampa doesn't have their 23 or 24 1sts.

Tampa Bay paid 2 1sts for Brandon Hagel, I think rental or extended Larkin gets at least that

You apparently misunderstood my question. Which team is going to give you two firsts for Larkin? Not what kind of team, find the match. Now why is that team giving up two firsts, when the likes of Toews, ROR, Horvat, and Maybe Henrique can all be acquired for less?

Larkin (or any pending UFA for that matter) will not return a Hagel deal. Hagel was 23 when the deal was done, on the first year of a three year, 1.5 AAV deal, and his RFA rights are intact at the end. Tampa bought cap security with the deal that Larkinn does not come with. Any extension is going to carry an AAV probably 5 times higher than Hagel if not more. Implying that Larkin should return the same deal because he's a comparable player completely ignores the reason as to WHY Hagel got that kind of return for Chicago.

Sure, if you retain 50% on Larkin, and the acquiring team can get him to agree to a 2x2 extension before the trade, you too can have two firsts for him.

Come on. Zadina is worth more than a 7th. Ducks picks would be worth Larkin for sure but not any team. Larkin is worth more than 2 late firsts.
