Kings are happy with Roy, no need for that trade.

Gee 59 pace LW another 1.5 years left at a reasonable $2,500,000 cap hit for Abruzzese and a 3rd round pick, Nope sorry we either get a 2nd for Kubalik or we keep him better off a late 1st is even better.

With the sens wanting to compete in the next year or two, I think their focus would be on a top pairing D and a bottom pairing D, both preferably right handed.

The bottom pair LD should be cheap in free agency. And Zub will take one of those top 4RD spots. So that leaves 1 position open.

The proposed return is the last type of package we need. Absolute futures would be the last thing the Sens are lookin for

Niemela is a good prospect, if slightly overvalued by certain Leafs fans. A pick in the mid 20s and a winger who can't stay healthy do very little to sway Ottawa.

Brannstrom should be the lock on the 3rd pair. Love JBD but Brannstrom is by far better and I'm so tired of pretending he's a problem

He doesn’t provide offence nor is physical. So what is he really doing besides moving pucks?

The Sabres were going to get OTTs 1st to take Murray on before this season and Murray declined, they aren't offering a 2nd to try again and they have 0 need for a goalie, they have 3 on their roster currently 2 of which are as good or arguably better

Having one of the best on ice impacts on the team. When he's on the ice the team is regularly controlling play. He doesn't have points, which isn't a shock, he gets no powerplay time and the team is absolutely dogsh*t at scoring goals at 5v5. He's a surplus value player. Sens are coming in tight to the cap next year, and Brannstrom is gonna be like 1.1mil. You go to free agency with that budget you're not coming home with a player nearly as good as Brannstrom. There are three Dmen on the team not worth complaining about this season and Brannstrom is easily one of them.
