Call me crazy but I’m not moving MF unless Durzi is coming back to the caps.

That could work in the off-season. I figured the Caps would want more of a two way guy in Grans who is at most 2 years out.

Are you sure you want both Carlson and Durzi on your right side?

I have no interest in Edmundson any longer. He has been absolutely terrible since returning from injury. He's -21 on the season, by far the worst on the Habs, and he has played in less games than their other defensemen.

I wouldn't 1-for-1 trade him for Sean Walker, even if Montreal retains 50%.

He's physical and he blocks shots (5th in the league)

He's getting better. Really good at blocking shots, so he's not terrible. The offensive upside definitely outweighs that. I think he will be a consistent 50 point OFD on any team.

But put him on the same side as Carlson, who are your RD PKers?

That’s a good point haha. Every team needs to have a mix of offensive and defensive guys

Fantastic. That's worth a 4th round pick to me at 50% retention.

Where do his possession stats stand, and how regularly is he the worst defenseman on the ice?

The Kings have any number of trade targets they can pursue that would be superior to Edmundson that would cost less than this.

Olli Maatta from Detroit is a good example. The Kings are already familiar with him, as he played well for them last year. The reported asking price for him is a 2nd round pick.

I didn't hear Edmundson linked to LAK. Contenders seem to be EDM, WSH and CAR.

The only reason his name is thrown around here is because he's a big (the Kings are lacking in size), left-handed defenseman (5 of the 7 Kings rostered defensemen are right-handed. 1 of 2 of the LHD turn 37 soon). In theory, they could use a guy like Edmundson, but only if he's more defensively capable than Sean Durzi. Edmundson has not proven to be, so I don't think the Kings have any interest in acquiring him.

Absolutely. He would replace Jensen and we could sign Orlov

I think if the Caps are definitively out of the race AND think that Grans could play real minutes next year they accept (my assumption is that he probably needs one more year in the AHL). Otherwise Fehervary as a young, cost controlled player that contributes now is just too important for them, even though the futures would be a very fair return.
