Bjugstad is worth a future 2nd or current 3rd, at a minimum--power forward righty that plays C well at 900k on fire this year.

I'm sure there is a middle range Prospect that could make up the difference, if need be.

they have plenty middle prospects, keep em and look elsewhere for a cheap and talented power forward.

If I'm handing over a 2024 2nd for Bjugstad, I'm either getting a 4th back in return, or dumping Blais there instead as part of the package.

Alright. Bjugstad for Blais and a 2nd sounds a little better, bud.

Nice n civil of you, guy

Would you rather have Kuli or Valimaki? Vali metrics are better and he's cheap next year + RFA after. Both are worth a '23 3rd I reckon.

Much obliged, pal.

Valimaki would be intriguing. His value took a nosedive from his time in Calgary, where he basically fell off everyone's radar.

He has done relatively well with the Yotes. Considering he has more low cost term attached to him than Kulikov, that would definitely gather interest. Especially if he can be had at the same price.

Figured Arizona would actually try and hold onto him a little longer, for that reason.

obligations are all on me, friend.

Extra 3rd this year would be semi-worth it, or maybe

Ryder Korczak + Blais [any 1 year dump is fine] + 3rd

for

Vali + Bustad [or Boyd 50%]

thots?

Well thought out, amigo.

I'd prefer the original package of picks for the combo, while holding onto Korczak (our pool of C Prospects is already shallow enough). But both proposals are definitely in the ballpark, value wise.

stunningly kind, mate

Save the 2nd on Nyq who disappears when it counts most and draft a C this year? Korczak is 0/5 and -4 in AHL so I doubt he's NHL ready at all next year.

Or it would be Blais + '23 2nd + 3rd for Vali + Bju which seems to favor NY but "its a deep draft"

How do you value Bju vs Boyd 50%? Their metrics this year are both solid. Latter seems more valuable due to contract but worth an extra 2nd?

Can't see the Blues wanting Kravstov. Change that piece to something better.

Excellent take, Mon Ami.

Learning of the severity of Nyquist's injury following this post, I would pull the proposal for him altogether.

Boyd was a hot topic earlier in this Season, but has expectedly cooled off lately. Bjugstad has maintained his consistency, and is therefore of greater interest.

Are there any reasonable pieces you have in mind, or are you specifically waiting for me to say Matthew Robertson?

The 2nd is for Nyquist; what compensation are we getting for taking on Blais?

As of this morning, probably nothing. I learned the severity of his injury after I made this post. So unless he comes back soon and comes back strong, this trade might no longer be on the table.
