Boston declines. That's way too much for rental Bo.

u really hate the canucks,eh? throw in a 2nd for SCHENN and maybe the canucks consider it.i said consider it,1st pick will be 32nd and LYSELL is at best a top 6,while carlo is only a top 4.but boston is a cup favorite with BERGERON and KREJCI down the middle already, why wouldnt they wait and hope BO goes to free agency.

No this way to much - Bo is a rental and they aren't moving a top 4 D man under a reasonable contract, along with Lysell and the 1st. Even if the Bruins are all in, this is stupid. Mortgage the limited draft capital and prospect pool you have for a position that they don't need barring an injury. I mean the Bruins will happily explore adding Schenn for depth in the playoffs, but its a no for Bo and this deal.

ok answer me this is BO worth more as a rental or extension at 9 mil for max yrs.but i agree.i dont see a fit with boston.im not crazy about a 32nd or LYSELL,and CARLO is what he is,but SCHENN is worth a 2nd,hes been good.

You hit the nail on the head, Bo is worth more if Bergeron or Krecji aren't coming back next year. But even then, at 9+ million a year, I think the Bruins need to focus on getting Pasta locked in and do a UFA hunt for the next 2 years. A 1st even late is better than no pick as they don't have a 2nd round pick this year. Either you retool on the fly or your rip it all down next year. Given the contracts out to McAvoy and Lindholm, I would say they are more inclined to retool which means they need to keep some of that capital.

Have you never seen a deadline trade before? This is quadruple anything else that’s happened in the last decade.

Easy with the all caps. We know who bergeron is.

What? The logic here is just weird. Picks traded for rentals are always late. Lysell…sorry LYSELLLLLLLL is considered a top prospect. Then you have the problem. Young top for d men with term aren’t moved for rentals. Ever. It’s not a thing. Carlo has significantly more value than horvat, and this trade would make boston worse.

Or we can just use logic.

Name an instance of a guy like Carlo being moved for a deadline rental this century.
