I would accept that offer as the Anaheim GM. I'd do it without the fifth and I'd send you our 2024 seventh.

That's a whole lotta pass for a variety of reasons. Primary among them is that McLeod is going nowhere (at least not in these kinds of moves). Second, a 2nd pairing of Dumoulin and Kulikov strikes me as notably worse than even out current platooning approach. Third, Kulak-Bouch have shown quite poor results together last I checked. Lastly, Drouin is the anti-playoff player. For all Foegele's shortcomings, he can be relied on to play playoff hockey. I get that move is mostly for cap space next year, but I still don't do it.

Value seems close but Oilers probably won't move Mcleod. We need to keep our young guys who can go on value deals and especially dudes we drafted.

That would be a pretty easy pass by the habs not taking a year of Foegele for moving 40ish spots in the middle of the draft

Habs ain't using a retention slot plus giving you a player plua taking on a 2.75M contract for another year just to upgrade a pick from early 5th to late 3rd (moving up 40-45 spots) which is equivalent to basically a 7th round pick value

I'm not going to argue the tradewith you but saying drouin is the anti playoffs player is just spewing lies and creating your own little narrative, while drouin didn't play much playoff hockey when he did he played significantly better than the regular season which not only shown in his points production but also to the eye test to anyone who watched him in action

Alright, seems I should've been more precise. I meant stylistically and in his current state which, given the extent of his recent struggles, suggest that he isn't going to be able to exert the level of play he has in past playoff runs (3 and 7 yrs ago respectively).
