3 Potential Raddysh trades

Created by: Kyle_Davidson
Team: 2022-23 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 29, 2023
Published: Jan. 29, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I don’t know if it’s the people I’m following on Twitter or what but seems like people are suggesting we trade Raddysh to a contender sighting his low cap hit + Term + 24 goal pace (over a full 82).

Some of the “more optimistic” of the bunch are saying he should fetch a Hagel return but that obviously won’t happen as there is worlds of difference in those two players. In any case I could see a Raddysh trade looking like some of these templates.
Trades
1.
CHI
  1. Kapanen, Kasperi
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
If the penguins did this trade it is because of the cap flexibility it would provide.
PIT
    Raddysh, Taylor (758,333)
    2.
    CHI
    1. Foegele, Warren
    2. 2023 2nd round pick (EDM)
    3. 2024 5th round pick (EDM)
    Additional Details:
Same kind of deal as with Pittsburg. They get more value out of having Raddysh and Lafferty.
    EDM
      Raddysh, Taylor (758,333)
      Lafferty, Sam (1,150,000)
      3.
      CHI
      1. Gurianov, Denis
      2. Khudobin, Anton
      3. 2023 2nd round pick (DAL)
      Additional Details:
Potentially a precursor move for a bigger trade
      Buyouts
      Recapture Fees

I've been seeing this recently too. Not 100% sure why though. He's been ok this year, but it's not exactly selling on a high note. Not sure why an acquiring team would pay up.

If anything his “production” is a result of his increased opportunity. I’m willing to sell him and cap flexibility as a packaged deal to a sucker though.

I think im in the minority here, but I think him being a developed player that plays hard and can play all situations minutes benefits us over the next couple of years for the young guys more than a late 2nd would

Seen this as well. I'm not trading TRad for anything else than a 2023 1st. Hawks need someone for Reichel to play with next season.

I don’t think Raddysh is anything special enough to keep for that purpose but agree to disagree. Maybe he can play with Bedard or Fantili

Once you factor in the players coming back to Chicago along with the associated adders to take on their cap hits, Raddysh is being traded away for practically nothing.
