Late 2nd, I agree price is high - he'll most likely go for a 3rd if we do trade him. He's been injured all year and has been progressing where by the TDL he should be up to speed and be a quality 5/6 dman.

It was more because you guys don't have a 3rd and I went for what I presumed will be the latest 2nd.

3rd pair defensemen do NOT get a 3rd either
You’re dreaming

We wouldn’t even give you a 7th for him
He’s not good- he’s just a guy

Right - so Schenn will get traded for 5-7th round pick by your logic? Remind me when that argument gets blown out of the water. Depth defenceman who can play either side (Dermott) or are defensive, big and physical (Schenn) regularly get traded for 2nd-4th round picks.

Let me know when you've consciously watched hockey(as an adult) for over a decade.

Pass, too much for Horvat. High price for Dermott too, Canucks would get a 3rd in the best-case scenario.

Schenn is a 3rd pairing defenceman - I didn't say that about him: you did.

Your emojis and capslocking scream of desperation buds.

Yeah I agree - with the high price for Dermott. Know they need defensive help and he can play both sides and should be up to speed by the TDL.

With the Boston trade - would you do a 1st and Carlo for Horvat retained or Harrison and Carlo for Horvat retained? Not sure the Canucks would but was curious if you would as a Bruins fan.

Schenn isn't a bottom pair dman, so no that's not his logic

A 2nd is too high for a 7th dman but it's not laugh out loud rediculous. Most Sabres would offer is a 4th or 5th though

Schenn is a bottom pair dman... I love him, and he's amazing - but he is definitely suited to a 6th/7th role on any contending team.

I would not trade Carlo in a Horvat trade because that would just create a hole in the lineup for Boston. I would be open to include Lysell and the 2023 1st.

Yeah, unfortunately, I'm not sure Lysell moves the needle at all for the Canucks. We have winger depth galore - hence why Harrison (or that LD college prospect you have I'm dropping the name on) was who I included.

Fair on Carlo - I would be shocked if you would be willing to part with him but he's the exact thing the Canucks are lacking. I saw a suggestion that Schenn is included in the deal as he could fill in somewhat as a RHD. The question is whether you guys are a better team with Horvat and Schenn vs just Carlo... I'm honestly not sure that's an upgrade but it could be.

Also heard Boston's management is underpressure to acquire help because of the hometown discounts a lot of the stars have taken.
