This is a bit premature, so it’s just a guess work on cost, and perhaps it would require our first this year, but if Minny considers taking offers, I think this is somewhat in the ballpark. Kerfoot is mainly for cap purposes but is still a serviceable player for the Wild still looking to compete. They get a 2nd and a solid prospect which they can use as assets to add players.

Rumored cost is a 1st retained or a 2nd/3rd I retained. In additional to the 3rd, (Ottawa's so will be a high 3rd) - I think Steeves gives them a young NHL ready forward they can stick in the lineup, Hirvonen a solid looking prospect, and Benn is simply a body to stick in the lineup (maybe they can even flip for a 5th/6th rounder).
