Hawks decline. Robertson is damaged goods at this point. Big red flag w/ his surgery and injury history. His value is way down in my opinion. The 2nd and Abruzzese probably gets Domi.

Jiricek has two slide years left...CBJ probably keeps him in AHL for at least this year, if not two.
Will save a ton of money when they are competitive a couple years from now.

(as U20 player, if he plays more than 9 games in NHL, he burns a year of ELC)

Hawks decline as mentioned above. Robertson has little value as of now. Kurashev is more valuable on his own than a 2nd and Abruseze as is Domi.

That’s true even still they have a logjam at RHD. Carson Cuelmans will proabably sign a deal with CBJ at the end of his NCAA season.

Signing Gubranson was a mistake. CBJ should’ve been a little more patient.

He’s only 21 tho. It still easy for him to bounce back. He was PPG in the AHL as 20 yr old last year which is rare.

Doubt that Domi is more valuable than Abruzzese and a 2nd. There’s no retention and if the ask for McCabe is a 2nd a b prospect I doubt you can ask for more than that with Domi.

Like I said previously Robertson is only 21 yrs old. Injury history aside he’s an elite prospect that doesn’t get the credit he deserves. Kind like Liljegren with the Leafs and now he’s a legit top 4 RHD with the potential of being a top pair dman in the league.

I'm not denying his talent, but he's played like 80 games total in the last 3 seasons and had a significant injury in each season. Until he comes back from this surgery and shows he can play at the same level as before the surgery AND that he can play a whole season without a major injury, I wouldn't touch him as an asset in any trade.

Domi is on pace for 60 points and 24 goals. I don't think he's more valuable then a 2nd and Abruzzese but never know. Domi's playing center and proven he can be a plug at 2C so maybe a team pays a late 1st at half retained?

Robertson is a complimentary top 6 guy, I would say he was ever elite but valuable yes. The problem is with his consecutive annual injury history, it brings into question durability...pretty sure it's now 3 years in a row. Regardless, his value is way down.

For the record, I don't think Lillypad is a top liner...2nd liner on a deep defensive team at best. Problem is, with injuries and lack of depth on D, the Leafs are forcing guys into situations and to their credit they are doing fairly well but the Leafs are playing a really good possession game as well due to the talent up front. Put Lillypad on most teams and he's a 3rd liner as of now.

There’s multiple prospects and instances where and “injury-prone” prospect has become elite.

Furthermore the 2 years he got injured in the AHL he wasn’t even supposed to play there. I’d argue Covid hindered his development more than injuries.

So because Liljegren stepped up on provided elite defensive metrics while 3/6 of our top 4 dman are out he’s a 3rd liner? He’s top 4 dman on almost every team in the league. He isn’t a 3rd liner. He’s just in deep defensive roster that doesn’t get its credit.

Also to your point about Robertson we talk about his injuries but you forget to mention both of his years in the AHL he wasn’t even supposed to play there. Covid hinder his development more than injures. He’s gonna be top 6F and probably would’ve been one if he was in any other team than Toronto. More credit needs to be given on how hard it is to make Toronto roster especially with the way Sheldon Keefe wants his bottom 6 constructed. Toronto ain’t a team that’s gonna give an elite prospect top 6 mins because he’s a top prospect. They’ve gotta earn it as Toronto has cup ambitions

I mentioned Lillypad is a 2nd liner on a deep defense team at best. Toronto is good, but their defense is not deep.

Toronto has a giant hole at the #2 LW slot. Robertson could've easily filled that. His injuries in the AHL versus NHL really isn't a concern, his injuries (plus the juniors before that) are mounting and that is a concern. He plays a style of game that he needs to back off on if he going to have staying power.

Robertson was never injured in juniors. He was only ever injured in the AHL or NHL. Again should’ve never been playing there if it wasn’t for covid. This year he was injured on a dirty play from Roy that was correctly penalized. He’s just been unlucky but he’s gonna be a good player. The way Toronto drafts is based of tenacity and hockey iq. Just look at their draft classes from 2018 till present. He’s gonna be good and at 21 years old it rare that 2nd rounders even ones as talented as Robertson make the league at 21 years. Usually 23 is the age they come in.

Also Toronto is extremely deep defensively. They have 9 legit NHL dman in Rielly, Brodie, Giordano, Liljegren, Sandin, Holl, Timmins, Benn and Mete and 5 top 4 capable dman in Rielly, Brodie, Giordano, Liljegren and Sandin. That’s not even taking into account Jake Muzzin that was hurt earlier in the year.
