Why are the Kings giving up two great prospects to get an injured Demko (and having a career bad year Demko) and not rid themselves of Petersen? This seems like complicating your problems rather than solving them.

My Gord, you're insufferable with these freaking Horvat to Detroit trades, this is like your 30th post about the same damn thing... off to the ignore list you go

Detroit will keep their younger center and two prospects and hopefully take a stab at him this summer. If not, oh well.

Demko was a nice idea earlier but I don’t think he’s the option for LA imo. He’s been hurt and been underwhelming

I’d rather go for goalies like Swayman and Vejmelka. Kings should definitely look at portillo too now that reports are he wants to go UFA route after college. But more of a projrct goalie and could be deja vu Petersen.

Here's the problem I see with all of the recent Thatcher-Demko-to-Los-Angeles trade ideas:

Demko was horrible this year, almost undoubtedly due to his injury. When he returns from rehabbing that injury, and plays the last third of the season, one of two things will happen:

1. Either he will display his earlier form, in which case why would Vancouver trade him; or
2. He will not show any improvement, in which case why would Los Angeles want him?

Don't you feel better now?

These proposals will never happen again.

they'll probably just start creating NYI ACGMs sending Horvat to the Wings for their 1st round picks until 2040 and the rights to Nick Lidstrom's cloning information
