Description
I've advocated to be sellers at the deadline, which I still think would be the smartest route. But if we decide to go all in we need a major move. Not just a token deadline deal like Hextall will probably do, but a major shakeup.

I think you'd need to include a prospect for the Chi deal, or remove McCabe, but I do think this Horvat deal is going decrease other trade values. Raty is like 50th overall prospect right now? a 1st and Beau isn't much imo for what was touted as the hottest trade piece this TDL???

man, i think you're going to be shocked when they make trades. Horvat was the biggest name for this TDL and the Isles didn't give up much, that's going to hurt other sellers.

Exactly my thoughts, Horvat was maybe the biggest piece and he went for a mid to late first, a B level prospect, and a struggling player, who albiet has potential, but is struggling.

Yeah we might. I dont think it is that far off though. I was thinking Kane = 1st, McCabe = Rust + 2nd, and Domi = 3rd.

Imo you’re not sending enough to Chicago, and I say that to someone who wouldn’t even give up a 3rd for patty kane 50% retained.

Dumo and McGinn aren’t difference makers. Rust has the potential but he’s just kinda looking like he’ll be “meh” for years now.

Realistically GMs are going to give up a first and a good prospect for Kane, and we already know they want a 2nd and good prospect for McCabe. Domi will probably come in at like a 2nd and third due to his good year.

My guess would be like Dumo, your first and second this year, second next year, Pickering and something else. Getting Kane, domi and McCabe will be expensive

I see what your saying, but after this Horvat trade I dont see Kane going for as much. I think Kane equates to a first and maybe decent prospect. I say maybe swap the 3rd for a 2nd, add a prospect and it would be a done deal. Dumo would just be for cap, will be a free agent. McGinn is pretty meh.

I really hope Guerin isn't stupid enough to trade another 3rd for another fourth liner but I already know he is.

Hawks decline. The 3 picks are a decent base, but they're not enough for the Hawks to give up Kane, McCabe and Domi. Those 3 players do nothing to help the rebuild along, so their combined value is minimal to the Hawks.
