That is an extremely weak return for Larkin who is better and more complete player than Horvat -- those prospects are much less than Raty/Beauvillier, let alone the compensation for Maata and Erne.

This deal would need to include one of Othmann, Laf, Chytil or Kakko for the Wings to blink on top of the 1st. Not really sure the WIngs/Rangers match up well for trades.

Detroit passes, That doesn't get Larkin at full value let alone 50% retained and Maatta and Erne as well. None of those 3 players we need. Picks are very late. I doubt Larkin even waives for the Rangers. This trade value is nowhere near the value of Bo Horvat.
