And in 3 years you can't afford Bedard or you lose Petterson, still a lot of bad contracts there with bad term.

OEL isn't going to waive for Anaheim, and we don't want him.

Just some thoughts... Dumba and Severson are overpaid. I'd be happy to see Graves in a Canucks uni. Let Raty play over Berbashev. Need money for young player deals like Petey etc. OEL would cost Van Bedard to dump lol Hope the ping pong balls are friendly to Van this year.

I think you may be okay with Mikheyev but Boeser won't get you much but Miller is not going to be a good contract very soon.

Don't need much for Boeser - his 6.6 off the books will be good enough. Miller will be a bad contract one day but he's still a very good player

Yeah, I meant to sign someone to a 1-year deal to wait for Raty but I got a little carried away. Everyone is overpaid but you gotta overpay at free agency

Y'all out of your collective minds no way TB gives a 2 for a 7-8 defenseman they didn't offer a contract to a year and a half ago.

Having EP40 and Kuzmenko making fun of him on the bench probably tells you what they think of him.

Canucks would rather buyout OEL than pay that much to get rid of him. His cap hit would only be 0.146M next season if he's bought out.

No way I want OEL’s contract and how are you giving us 33OA if we already have that?

I’m pretty sure it goes way up a couple years after though

It becomes 4.77M during 2025-26 and 2026-27 and the Cap is expected to be around 90M then. The question is can VAN replace OEL with a better player for the 2.5M difference? They probably can.
