AHLer? Watson is better than either of those guys combined. This is a very reasonable trade, especially if those guys are just ahl players.

Watson doesn't bring anything to the table for the Devils.
With every forward fully healthy on any given gameday the Devils would have to scratch two of Wood, Holtz, Boqvist, Zetterlund and McLeod, all superior players to Watson.
What you call a reasonable trade is basically the Devils setting a 7th rd pick on fire and calling it a day.
