Description

I know, I know, we said we wouldn't trade Pinto.

However.

We have FOUR Top 9 centres already in Norris, Stutzle, Greig, and Pinto, with Kasty, Ostpachuk and Lodin likely fighting for bottom 6 C roles for years to come as well.

Something has got to give, and trading one of Pinto or Greig would give us the best return for a legit Top 2 D-man that we need.

I bet Arizona even asks for more tbh.

I am not at all sold on Shane Pinto (do not understand the Ottawa hype about him), Zaitsev is a cap dump, Thomson is a decent prospect but nothing special, the 24 first is nice but Arizona wants picks in 2023, they have anough 24s

I think it should be considered. Yes he's good but I think he's maxing as a 3rd line guy. Even if he isn't he's not moving past Norris or stutzle maybe even Greig. Arizona gives him a chance to establish a higher ceiling and would cost a decent amount to keep long term for the sens. Could be worth using his value to put into a position of need.
