Description

Ok let's go back in the past a bit and wonder what would have happened if the Canucks had started a rebuild in 2021. Funny enough, that rebuild would have been done before they'll be ready to compete in reality.
Changes:
- No OEL trade
- No JT Miller contract (trade him at 22 deadline)
- No Kuzmenko contract (trade him at 23 deadline)
- No Mikheyev contract
- No Poolman contract

In that case, they end up lower in the standings in 21-22 and draft Jiricek. They then end up bottom of the league in 22-23 and let's say, for fun, they win the lottery to select Bedard.

The OEL trade is the downfall of this team, and I'll never forgive Benning and Aqulini for it, just such a horrible trade

Lundkvist got dallas's first.

So yeah, you shot yourself hard there by holding out for schneider.

Yeah, um, no. You'd have to have thrown away Petterson and never hired Boudreau to have a shot of getting past the Blackhawks pick the Jackets used to select Jiricek.
