NHL Conditional Pick Question

Can the islanders trade their 2024 pick to another team, with the condition that it becomes a 2025 pick if the islanders keep the 2023 pick?

nope. When a pick is included in a condition, then that pick is locked in until the condition either has or hasn't been met

Yes.

As long as it doesn't violate the terms of a prior trade, the answer to your question is yes.



A good example of this is how the Florida Panthers have handled trading their 1st round picks for Sam Reinhart and Ben Chiarot.

And then for Claude Giroux and Matthew Tkachuk.
