Sabres should not be going after Chychrun
He’s not a good fit

I don't want to give up Kulich, but I wouldn't hate adding JC.

The idea of adding Chychrun at 2.3AAV means they could make a deal and probably get equal value, and then some, back after a year or two at 1.15AAV .

Chychrun at 50% gets way more than one good, not great, prospect. And I don't think Crouse is even available. He just signed a 5 year extension and he's a big part of the soul of the team.

I think Nick B is a real target for BOS.
I have no intel, just seems like a depth add that's possibly required.
Chance to be the type of fit that could payoff well in the postseason & with a new team-friendly deal for a couple of years afterward if he does OK...

Boston is probably willing to upgrade the picks in this deal if the 'Yotes take back some Cap (Smith &/or Reilly).

The Ghost trade is interesting and might get done, AZ would rather use their retention slots for bigger payouts but the 2nd is a good value even with the dead weight of Johnsson.

Bjugstad is the closest to reality but from what I know the ask is a 2nd for him or a 3rd and 5th. He has vetran value to the team and if moved will cost. Bill Armstrong already has the reputation of a GM that requires equal or greater value or he walks from the trades.

Crouse will require a massive overpay, he is viewed as part of the cultural core of the team and is finally hitting his stride and becoming the 25-30 goal per year power forward everyone thought he would become. This offer, though decent, would not likely make an impact on expected value.

The Chychrun trade does not meet min qualifications. Tossed out on sight.

I don't see the point in the Devils trading for Ghost.
They are well set with their current D corps and spending two picks on a very marginal upgrade on Brendan Smith doesn't seem like the right thing to do.
Besides, the Devils already have Hamilton to run their powerplay, so that further negates any need for Ghost.

I think that's a fair return for Ghost however, I'm sure there'll be some team willing to take him on for that.
