Description
Assuming there are no injuries, Beauvillier move done soon, Perron move done at TDL, at TDL Holmberg has to get sent down but can come back up for playoffs. If there's at least one injury to a forward from TDL to playoffs which seems highly likely, Holmberg comes up and plays (likely plays most or all of that stretch). Then another injury, you give Knies as good a look as you can. Playoff lines, likely means ZAR scratched, Kerfoot down to 4LW, Holmberg in.

Beauvillier deal - depends how you value Niemela, but he's a RHD which VAN desperately needs and I think still a very good prospect. I'd go as high as Niemela and a 2nd but I think this would be pretty close given how Beauvillier's season has gone, but also the playoff upside

Perron - this year's FA spending spree seems like a misfire, trade the vet to a contender, stock another 1st rounder in 2023, and yea you retain but won't really need that space next year either and this maximizes the return

Serious question as a Canucks fan: Does Beauvillier actually have this sort of value? I legit thought he was just in it for cap reasons. What makes him an attractive piece?

He doesnt have this kind of value lol. The Leafs are better off taking out Niemela and trading the 3rd plus a worse prospect for a guy like Nyquist or Domi.

i mean his playoff track record is stellar and at half retained I thought I'd have to pony up. Even better if it costs way less

I actually do like Beau as a trade target for the Leafs, but I wouldn't do this type of value for him - Niemela being the sticking point.

Kerfoot is Beauvillier, Finkle is Einhorn.... Why trade for Kerfoot when you have Kerfoot at home? Doesnt make too much sense to give up your best defensive prospect for that.

I think a first alone would do the trick for Perron

beauvillier has the clutch playoff past though. Maybe gave up too much in Niemela. Beau definitely needs a change of scenery, has the playoff experience and performance in the past, could really blossom with Marner

I agree but as the only tangible piece of that trade received so far and receiving far less than most fans here thought are they going to get are they going to want to part with him? The Vancouver Canucks might but I think the most of the CapFriendly Vancouver aren't going to like it.

He is hardly the centerpiece in the trade. Mostly for cap balancing purposes

CapFriendly Vancouver definitely has it's opinions, but I certainly hope the Canucks entertain offers for him, and accept them if they're like this.

Yes but that can be said about every fan base on CapFriendly.

I'd say he definitely has a chance of increasing his value if he gets to play with Kuzmenko and Pettersson which would definitely boost his point totals

I hope so, but I can't imagine his value gets any higher than something like this offer right? He's got a pretty consistent track record of what he is, and he comes with a sizable cap hit.

Retaining that much salary to a division rival will cost more than being offered for Perron.
