I highly doubt the Canucks will move him immediately after acquiring him. Would like to see how he does beside Pettersson and Kuzmenko

I would say probably throw in a 4th/5th and it might work.

VAN can then eat half of Kerfoot's salary and flip him for a third or a fourth which would give them:

Raty, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th for Horvat which is pretty nice!

As a Leaf fan, I think Beauvillier would fit real nicely on the second line, and has been a clutch playoff performer to boot. Also that value is pretty fair, maybe swap the second for a 3rd this year and a prospect like SDA.

This is an overpay for him. It's well known that NYI have been trying to move him since the Summer and could not get anything for him. Wingers with term having bad yrs compared to their salary are worth nothing. Guys like this were going for free and we're not getting qualified.

I saw his playoff stat, he shows up when the games matter the most

He's been good in the playoffs, but extremely underwhelming throughout his career. I think he could work well on the Leafs, but I'm not looking to gamble that much money signed into next yr for a bounce back. Hell just give up the pick/prospect package and go get a better player.

I'd say he probably sits around a 2nd/3rd in value. Personally, I'd take this deal. However, when talking about the trade, Allvin said "You could look at it that we actually got three first rounders back." Either that is a reference to the fact that Beauvillier was a former first round pick, or it means that the Canucks value him as a first round pick. Raty was a 2nd round pick though, so that leads me to believe that Allvin maybe values the 1st, Raty, and Beauvillier all as 1st round picks. He most likely doesn't get moved uright after the Canucks acquired him, as the Canucks probably want to see what they got in him before making any decisions.

He's been good in the playoffs. Games have mattered this year and last for the NYI. Mattered a ton- just go ask the GM that made a move yesterday. He's done nothing.

I mean, he was kinda a cap dump. I think his value is neutral at very best.

Can't imagine it's too high considering the Isles have tried to trade him for a while. Canucks probably want to see what they have with him though

There is so much one player can do and on a defensive first team that doesn't like to hold onto the puck, he has been fine

He's been awful. At least a few years ago he would go to the net, hunt pucks. This year and last it's a ton of perimeter shots. Go watch a 3 game sample. You have clearly not watched him.

Unlike you, I care about what they do in the playoffs. Regular season does not matter

Right, so he can sleep-walk through 82 game seasons (where a team that has struggled to make the playoffs desperately needs him to put some effort in), as long as he can somewhat turn it on for 20 games? Again, the team that literally has the philosophy that when we get in, our players handle the playoffs better literally just traded him. He was a drag on the team and their cap.
