Personally, I think the whole Demko situation is being blown out of proportion. I don't really believe any of the reports coming out surrounding his status in Vancouver, and even if they are true, it won't be happening anytime soon. I could definitely see a team like LA or Seattle making a push in the offseason, but again, I don't think Demko truly wants out. If he does, I think the ideal trade would be:

LAK gets: Demko
VAN gets: Roy, Kupari, 2024 2nd round pick

Replace Demko with Jarry via free agency, move one of Boeser or Garland, trade Myers, sign Clifton as a UFA, and you've got yourself a pretty decent looking team:

Kuzmenko - Pettersson - Mikheyev
Miller - Raty - Beauvillier
Garland / Boeser - Kupari - Studnicka
Hoglander - Lazar - Podkolzin

I think we need to get even worse though. I think we need to rebuild demko's value so we can get the equivalent of 50% more than that in a trade (like swapping the 2nd for 1st and 3rd).

I can't see Allvin trading Demko anytime soon, Especially until we know how his hip injury is.

Boeser, Garland, Schenn, I'd imagine at least those 3 will be gone as well. After that it's any ones guess.

Agreed, trading Demko now while his value is so low would be ridiculous. Im still not convinced he's on his way out, we are going to hear the same thing for pretty much all of the Canucks core for as long as this drama unfolds. Horvat really liked Vancouver even when the media said he didn't, so who knows

Canucks have done a lot of line juggling. With Miller mostly playing wing, Garland got pushed down.

Vancouver seems like a team that has nothing we want. Maybe if we trade all of our prospects and picks and spend all the way to the cap, all of this will stop.

Boeser has been getting the nod over Garland. Will likely be different under Tocchet as Garland was excellent under him in Arizona.
