It's well known that the Sens need a quality RhD or two, but the only right-handed defenseman in our system that we would trade for UFA Cam Talbot is Frederic Allard.

Just to give you an idea of the values involved here, your esteemed colleague and senior Ottawa authority @csick has proposed trading Ottawa's 2024 first-round draft pick for Sean Durzi, and Matt Roy, even with only one year left on his current contract, is worth more to us than Durzi.

To be honest it makes more sense anyways. Spence and Clarke can replace Durzi’s offence but no one is going to replace Roy defensively

For $3m/year i can see him graciously falling into 13min/night being a bully for Branny on the 3rd pair.
Thats all he has to do, be a solid 3rd pair bully. His big enough and experienced enough to handle that with ease. Also buys us another year to see if JBD can fill that role.
