huge pass on Edmundson. The guy does fine in a trapping system, not so much a flying system. Even Slavin couldnt make him look good here.

Sorry, is Caufield coming back the other way? Nikishin is the best defenseman in the KHL and he's 21. You're going to need to give up a LOT more than Edmundson for him

I offered Roberston and a 2nd for Henrique at 50% retained, and Ducks fans were receptive.

It makes me think you could do better with that deal.

Habs will have better offers for him and they'll definitely get a way better offer is they retain on him

It's a close offer and is going to depend a lot on what other options are thrown at the Ducks. I'm not super high on Suzuki myself and the fact the pick is 2024 hurts the offer a bunch. But on the flip side it's only asking for 1.5M retention rather than the full 50%.

In the end if the Ducks are going to get a pick in 2024 they might as well keep Rico through the summer into next year and trade him as a pending UFA at the 2024 TDL.

Lajoie will never make the NHL, maybe as a 7th defenceman and HABS have plenty of those. Just to try to make this fair, Nikishin + 4th rd pick

yea I understand that lajoie and a 2nd may not be what you want. Nikishin is out of the question for Edmundson. He had one good season, he is a 3LD without a ton of value.
