It's not even necessary from Minnesota's end either.

Clearly this guy has zero understanding of Minnesota's roster.

Duhaime is more than capable of replacing Greenway on the Eriksson-Ek line and we'd rather have Shaw, who's an absolute spark plug and excellent PK'er, than Acciari on our 4th line.

If Guerin does make a trade it'll be to get Boldy some help on his line and/or to move Greenway.

Didn't mean to upset you. Simply looking to dump salary for MIN since they're in cap hell while also bringing back assets for a playoff push. Seems reasonable to me.

A bottom six and middle six winger are each worth a 2nd and a 3rd?

Value is pretty close. No one's paying more for Barbashev's one good year when he's a third liner the rest of the time.

I would concur with that given my limited knowledge of Minny's lineup..... I love Shaw's game. Did an ACGM pre season offering Kerfoot for Shaw in a one -for -one deal. I juries did him no favors. Now that he is healthy, what he can do is evident given limited ice time.

As for Greenway, I would say the Leafs would have genuine interest. Not sure a 3rd is enough to get it done (his own injury at the beginning of the year has ser.him back)..... I would suspect Guerin would be looking for a somewhat comparable near NHL ready roster piece with said pick. Steeves (who has the same make up as Shaw) or Hirvonen and pick seems much more in the wheelhouse long term for the Wild.

Just a Leafs fans opinion.

I'm not upset, I don't expect other teams fanbases to know Minnesota's roster. Frankly, they don't care enough to know. They follow their team and that's it.

I personally prefer to know and have at least a cursory knowledge of other teams, and it's players, simply to know and understand what a team does and doesn’t need when attempting to make trades. It's at bare minimum the courteous thing to do, and stops people for jumping down your throat.

My point was simply that you didn't know, and that there are already internal options on hand for those spots. And that the trade returns are unnecessary.

And sure, you're opening up cap space after this season. But as I said, you're just blocking players that are already internal options, and taking TDL cap space away from a bigger add that could better be put to use helping Boldy. IE, a Patrick Kane or Ryan O'Reilly. Either of those players would help the Wild make a playoff push far better than either Barbashev or Acciari.
