  1. Meier, Timo
Additional Details:
Meier signs an extension 8 x 9.15M
SJS
  1. Johnsson, Andreas
  2. Mukhamadullin, Shakir
  3. Sharangovich, Yegor
  4. 2023 1st round pick (NJD)

Johnsson just to make the money work so SJ doesn't have to use a retention slot
2.
NJD
  1. Korpisalo, Joonas
Additional Details:
Extra goalie insurance, not sure if the Devil's would want to make a trade like this but I feel Korpi has been playing pretty decent for a struggling team.

Walsh isn't a great fit for the CBJ, who are wildly overstocked on the right side (deep breath: Jiricek, Boqvist, Gudbranson, Peeke, Blankenburg, Bjork, Ceulemans, Hjorth). They need left-shot Ds, so we'll take Luke Hughes off your hands. (KIDDING!) That said, not sure the Devils have a left-shot D that would move the needle; Bahl, Edwards, and Orlov are the only names that remotely fit the bill, IMO.

Good to know, wasn't sure if half of those guys are going to be NHLers full time. I feel like maybe one of the guys mentioned could work.

Yeah that's not happening. I think this is a pretty fair deal, Muk is a pretty good prospect.

From the RHD list, I'd peg at least six full-time NHLers (Boqvist, Blankenburg, Peeke, Jiricek, Ceulemans, and sadly Gudbranson).

Unfortunately not good enough. Afraid Meier will be heading to somewhere else then

or more likely heading to home in SJ
I still think it's more likely he resigns with the club, just like Hertl and all this hoopla is just that because Grier isn't receiving offers that blow his socks off enough to justify trading Meier. I think it will take an overpayment until Meier's camp indicates he doesn't want to resign; definitely more than Horvat got.

You won't get that offer from the other teams either
Better chance if signing him

I wonder if it would be ridiculous to include Bahl in the trade as well. I'm not a Jersey fan but that would be two good D prospects, decent young forward and a first.

With the rest of what was posted or instead of something?
Bahl is going to have a tough time as are all D not nsned Nemec or Hughes next yr. Okhotiuk or Bahl are gone imo. I think Bahl cannot be moved without waivers so there is his destiny

I was thinking added to the trade. Muk and the first are the main pieces, Bahl and Shara agree added sweeteners.

Bahl as a fringe NHLer doesnt increase the value. The issue is the top guy needs to be better than Muk

It'd make a ton of sense to include Bahl here as the Devils don't have a roster spot for both him and Okhotiuk next season, meaning they'd have to lose Bahl on waivers.
If the inclusion of Bahl makes this Meier deal work for Grier then the Devils should 100% do it.

bahl loses his waiver exemption in the offseason and dont see where he fits in behind Hamilton Hughes Siegs Nemec Marino Smith and one of Graves/Severson, so i'm very open to moving him
