a slow defender who cant get the puck out of his own end
Russian Kerfoot and a 32 year old with a rebuilt ankle who might get 5 games before the deadline to see if he's healthy
and finally a guy who was bad before his back became riddled with disk and hernia issues.
Yeah, that'd do it

The way they’re playing this season, i think both Boston and tampa runs over this team.

Also, good luck if anyone gets hurt. There’s a reason no one runs a 20 man roster.

that's pretty generous for yourself, but I guess we're grading on a curve here.

Edmundson won't get a big return. Next year the Habs will have to pay just to get rid of him.

This offer makes the Blues stop and think. I can't promise they'd go for it, but I could definitely see it.

Heh. Dude, you just boiled O'Reilly all the way down to "a 32 year old with a rebuilt ankle who might get 5 games before the deadline to see if he's healthy" - not sure you're in the aspersion-casting seat on this one. squinty smile

yeah, because that's what he is right now. It wouldnt matter who he was but guys in their 30s who weren't too fleet of foot to begin with having pretty serious surgery on their ankle and minimal recovery time arnt great bets to put you over the top, especially if they are expensive and were having a bad season before said injury. He's a massive massive risk as it stands for any team to trade big pieces for him right now and pretending otherwise is kinda silly.

And now you've done it again. This is all you can say to describe O'Reilly, he's no more than that. Mmmkay. Just curious, how many times have you watched ROR this season? Heck, how many times did you watch him before this season? Count on one hand or two?

Villeneuve + '23 3rd and you have a deal. No interest in Holl, and the '24 4th is turd polish. We're after prospects, not your throw aways.

Aaah the good old shrodinger leafs fan trade:

"I want this player to make my team better but he's not good so I don't have to trade away anything of value for him"

Most reports on the ask for Gavrikov are a 1st and a small add, so this might get outbid.

I don't know how Edmundson and Gavrikov are better than Sandin and Holl. Barbashov....is he better than Kerfoot this season? and not much better than Engvall this season .
So the trade is ROR for two firsts and years of control of Sandin.
Of course...basing a trade on the Gavrikov (who the Leafs can't afford anyway) really destroys any credibility of any trade.

Edmundson and Gavrikov hit people and can clear the front of the net, Sandin and Holl either don't or can't. So they're more valuable in the playoffs.

And the Leafs can definitely afford Gavrikov, he is a Muzzin replacement.

I'm talking about real hits, not filler hits that Leafs players like to throw around.

One hit from Gavrikov equals ten hits from Holl.

Sorry you don't understand the cap for next season. If the Leafs have LTIR on, the Leafs still have to resign other players.....like Holmberg, Kampf, Bunting, Timmins, Samsonov (or their replacements.
