Don't know why in every Islanders armchair GM I see the same 3 guys for a proven player. The value is definitely there in the trade, not complaining about that, (I COULD BE COMPLETELY WRONG ON THIS because I see the Islanders play 2 times a year, obviously when they play the Kings) but I don't know if Dal Colle Nelson and Strome would help the Kings in the now as much as they would like. Again I could be completely wrong about this. But good job on the trade the value is definitely there for both sides.

i think this move would def be more for the future for you guys but i don't think it would absolutely kill you in the now as nelson is going to get at least 20 goals and 40 points and strome who was a high first rounder hasn't had the production most would hope but he still has tons of talent and has shown it can translate as he put up 50 points his rookie year..also dal colle is a high 1st rounder who should be nhl ready at some point later in this year and vonde sompel is a solid d prospect.
From an outsiders perspective i think the kings desperately need some more depth to their lineup but don't have much cap room

I honestly feel that the deal without Vande Sopél would work. The Kings are cap strapped and Carter has 5 years left on his deal. It would be a low risk high reward for LA if they make this move.

Lombardi giving Gaborik a long term deal was brutal and Brown with 6 years left is another horrible contract. Unfortunately.
