You didn’t read the note. Once healthy which is very soon. Sabres deep in assets & 2nds which this hardly dents. It’s a solid move now & later to take it to the next level.

They already have goalies in the system. No reason to pay good assets on betting that demko will return to form. Not trading Kulich for a goalie.

Once healthy does he continue with his sub .900 save % and allowing terrible goals off low danger shots? Or does he revert back to being above average? That's a gamble with a goalie who has had several hip injuries now, and likely not one Buffalo makes given there are already 3 goalies on the roster.

Can't see Kulich in there, Sabres don't need to trade for a Goalie. Demko would be nice, but not for Kulich.

The Canucks PK is on a historic worst season. Demko was over worked with the D being outright horrible. He’s easily a top 10 starter or better. Goalie depth improves immensely. Once totally healthy you get a key piece A prospect is unproven & years away. Sabres are on the rise & looking awesome & Demko will only help that. In the hunt now for the PO’s in reach it’s time to strike.

There's not a chance the Sabres are trading Kulich, actually he is rated as their best prospect ( The Hockey Writers and Corey Pronman) not in the NHL above Savoie and Ostlund who were drafted ahead of him last year. Another side note, Sabres tried desperately to trade up to get him with no luck and luckily he fell to them at 28.
Second, he will replace Olofsson as I don't see Olofsson being re-signed past his current contract which expires after next season. So I see Olofsson traded either this summer or at next years TDL.

Depending on where we sit at this TDL, and if Olofsson stays hot might be the best time to get good Quality for him this TDL

Fair enough if no deal. Counter if you like. Btw nobody takes Pronman seriously. BobMac ✅

Minnesota cannot afford Boeser without sending equal cap back for the next two years.

It's just who you included. I mean maybe the Sabres have been linked to Demko, but there not gonna include Kulich to get him. If UPL hadn't started playing better the last month maybe it would be a more pressing need. Maybe we make a offer but it's probably not gonna be for any of Kulich Ostlund Rosen being included. We just don't need to do that.

Eh. Would rather wait on Garland to see if he’s actually a buyout this summer, instead of paying that kind of premium

This makes sense, trade while his value is high. Only reason I see summer as the best time is bc of cost...can't see the Sabres retaining with still another year left on his contract and most contenders can't afford his 4.75 hit. Could the Sabres take back an expiring contract to make it work, sure and that just jacks up the return and would a contender want to do it. The summer also offers more wiggle room for a team to fit Olofsson.

I agree on Mckenzie but he doesn't do organizational prospect rankings so we are stuck with those that do.

I agree about retention, but Olofsson's contract is almost the perfect retention contract especially if he is hot at the TDL for a contender. Adams left all 3 retention and 1yr at 2.25m isn't bad for a floor team even next year.

I hearya there. Dumba will be gone & save 6m. Adding Boeser at 6m less 3m for Greenway leaves 3m for a UFA or other trade. It can be done if BG decides to do it.

The thing is Adams never weaponized all the cap space he had to play with when he should have...don't know if that was him or ownership.

There a Budget Team right now. But I think Terry is starting to get itchy again. Been around a bit more lately. I heard Adams has the green light to do some stuff, it's just if he chooses to.

Was wise to hold off. Sabres are right in the thick of it knocking on the door. Hoping your team makes a move or 2 they’ve earned it. Times are looking rosey & imo ripe to make a PO push. PO experience is well overdue. GL
