Rumors Persist

Description
Rumors continue to swirl that, despite rumors to the contrary, the Wild are pursuing Brock Boeser. It would basically take all of these (or similar) moves to make it work next season…

My very quick analysis is that IF the Wild can make it work similarly to this…sure.

If you are doing that 1st trade, call Buffalo first. Think we can beat that.

Marcus foligno is worth more than that. Russo and joe, has continued to state boeser to Minnesota isn't happening and you have Rossi and sammy needing a spot. Marc Andre Fleury isn't waiving and doubt Guerin is selling when he didn't before

What are your needs, someone to take Addison's spot somewhat. Maybe Joker or Johnson and yes he's a LD but can play both. And would be a Guaranteed 2nd if he walks. What else ?

A scenario where VAN retains 50% on Boeser's contract would make it work pretty easily. Greenway and a bunch of picks or prospects in return and then it's pretty much cap neutral and lets MIN keep Addison. Not like VAN will need the cap space the next 2 years.

RFA for 2 more years, still young and is playing 4RD for us with Power. Just don't know if he's a 2nd pair or 3rd pair.

Think Vancouver would have to add a decent amount here (maybe a 2nd?), but it's an interesting base. Still would rather use those two to try and get some help down the middle though.

This is interesting. It is a huge overhaul of the team as it spells the end of the GrEEF line but maybe that is the right direction.

Would you consider a 1:1 with Addison and Boeser a fair deal?

I’m less concerned about the future of the Wild’s middle after reading the recent Athletic article about Rossi. Would I still prefer a center, absolutely, but taking a chance on Boeser (considering the price) might be a better way for the Wild to spend their assets…

All I know for sure is Boldy needs someone to play with!

No, I think Addison has more value. From a pure point production standpoint he is very similar to Boeser this year and he'll probably cost $3M AAV at the most next season with more team control while Boeser is older, plays a less premium position, and has a much higher cap hit.

If we can make the money work I wouldn't mind adding Boeser, but I wouldn't be super happy about using Addison as the chip to get him unless there's something else coming back.

What teams have an organizational need for a player like Addison? I want to look for places to shop him+

Not sure about specific teams, but I imagine lots of teams would have interest in a young offensive RHD that can run your power play

If you have a sub to The Athletic, this article goes over each team's needs. Looks like Buffalo, Dallas, and Ottawa are the big ones. I'd love to get someone like Pinto for an Addison package but I don't see the Sens moving him at all.

Pinto would be ideal! Addison, Beckman, and a 2nd???

I'd probably bite but it sounds like the Sens want more of a defensive RD unfortunately.

I could see the Sabres being interested in bringing back Foligno
Makes sense
