Two players with term, some retention. Vrana was a 5v5 star just a few years ago. Canes take a chance on him reclaiming that in a new system.

MTL can retained a little bit more and they would accept
Overpaying for Vrana, the guy have 6 points in 13 AHL games
CAR shouldn't trade for him

There is zero incentive for Detroit to sell low on Vrana. We don't need the capspace and are better off just riding it out and seeing if he turns it around. He's actually been playing very well in GR lately.

i would be alright with that edmundson trade, maybe since he is retained for 2 years we could get a little bit more but its a good ballpark.

Rumor has it that their was a handshake agreement that nobody would claim him so he could get his life and career together. I think this happens way more than people believe, now if there was no agreement I believe Yzerman would never of waived him.
