I actually could see the Bert deal but you need a sweetener to push Detroit over the edge. Remember Bertuzzi has played like 14 games with ONE GOAL so you cant expect him to fetch very much value

My first deal I pulled off the table lol was a second included. Then I thought idk maybe too much. But I’d include a second. The retention always adds another piece unfortunately

The Rangers do have two 1sts, so I would imagine teams would ask for one.

Since NYR is going to face a cap crunch, maybe they could target a few players from Detroit. Instead of making the Acciari trade, maybe they pursue Bertuzzi and Kubalik or maybe even Zadina as he could also use a change of scenery.
