I could be wrong, not a Panthers fan, but you’re going to have to give up a 1st to even start a conversation. Plus, Panthers are pushing for a playoff spot, and are a team who SHOULD be in the playoffs. Doubt they’d be selling anything, let alone with a team they are directly competing with for a spot.

That is way too much. POJ should not be traded unless it's a deal that can't be turned down, and Bennett isn't what the Pens need right now.

Florida is the team that needs cap space the most in the league brother. Think again. And an already dry draft capital with nothing to show for

Needing cap space and trading a good player on a decent contract aren’t always aligned. I’ve thought about it again, and my mind hasn’t changed. Thanks for asking me to think again on it.

Creating cap space by moving a good player on a very good contract is about as solid of an idea as trading a 1st for Chiarot.

This trade makes them worse in a year that they're trying to compete for a playoff spot. It's a rare trade where two teams actually benefit, and neither of them are the Florida Panthers.

Panthers dont need to else a space. They have hornqvist on ltir for the year and next year have 12 million in cap space. I’d say they are just fine.

It isn’t guaranteed Hornqvist remains out. What’s the team supposed to do when Hornqvist can come back and Duclair returns. Cap situation is screwed. And either way the Panthers really haven’t been any kind of threat this season. They’ve lost more games than won.

We all knew this season wasn’t gonna be like last year. They are 3 points out of a spot with a bunch of injuries early on. They have points in like 9/10 of their games. They are playing much better and when duclair gets back that’s another 30 goal scorer coming their way. Hornqvist won’t come back or they will trade him and he doesn’t want that as he stated earlier in the year. I’m sure he’ll just say dizziness stil cause how can you prove that lol. Or ekblad will get hurt again. Seems to be the trend every year in feb/March

If someone could tell me the Cats could get at least league average goaltending from here on out - I’d be willing to put a significant amount of money they make the playoffs over the Penguins.

Argument for Hornqvist goes both ways. We don’t know if he’ll be back or if he does come back. 3 points outside of a playoff spot isn’t a very good picture to paint. Not to mention Pittsburgh being the second wild card spot holder has played three less games than them. And trading Hornqvist would cost a very pretty penny especially coming from the Panthers.
