I think you’d get more out of the trade if JG went to a team in need of a big banging forward who isn’t exactly a heavyweight but will stand up for his teammates. The penguins come to mind even the leafs. Could probably get a 3rd or 2nd if there’s salary retention.

Greenway is definitely more than a 4th round pick but around the value of a high 3rd round pick

Greenway isn't what the Flames need. Maybe if Minnesota retains some salary and takes Looch in return. In that case Calgary might send Minny a 2nd round pick or a B prospect.

Agreed. I only see him replacing Lucic and $3mil/yr is too much for a 4LW. Our 3rd line is currently set with Mang-Backlund-Coleman and Greenway’s not a Top-6 Player imo. Better to Trade for a Big Feisty LD or RD instead
