The only way the Kings are moving a goalie is if Petersen is going the other way.

you should read on our prospect pool and how high our first rounder are instead of complaining. We have the best offer for Meier. If you want more you should ask wink

No, because not all Leafs fans offer that trade in their ACGM

If you think the Flames are paying a 1st, and one of the top goaltender prospects in the league for a long terrible contract. People seem to forget that Lucic makes less money, has an expiring contract, and is only 6 points behind Anderson. The ask of a 1st is stupid because that contract is nearly unmoveable.

I know, I know. but all the insider tell that the Anderson value in the league is a 1st and plus. And Honestly as a Habs fans im shocked by that

If Hughes actually turned down a first for Anderson it should be a fireable offence. Anderson is on the same career trajectory as Lucic right now except Lucic actually had 5 50+ point seasons at some point. Since Lucic joined the Flames he has put up 0.3 points per game, in that same timeframe, Anderson has put up 0.4 ppg. Even this season they have identical points/60. Calgary isn't going to latch onto another poorly aging contract while getting Lucic off the books.

Sure the Habs might value him as a 1st + and I'm not saying it's not possible but there's no chance it's the Flames that make that trade especially at that price. We can't afford Anderson, he doesn't upgrade what we already have, and we'd be thinning our already shallow pool of prospects. The Flames haven't shown any reason to think this is the year to throw some chips in a go for it not do I think Anderson is the guy that makes any difference to our situation.

Thats not your first rounder! Its floridas which I still think could be 16-17th.

If it was yours, I wouldnt say anything but yes.

Yeah its 11 now, but it could be much later. Too scary to me to risk Timo on without conditions

Buffalo, NDJ, are all going to be higher than Fla pick ... our prospect pool is deeper and actually better than most other team (top5 in the league) we also have a better developpment team ... Oh and Dach was dealt for 13th last year ...

Let's try something : Can you build a proper Meier trade with the Habs to see our different perspective?!

Zero chance you get Dubois for half of what the Islanders paid for Horvat. Easy no for Winnipeg.

Meier is still a more valuable asset though yes.
So the comparison to what Dach cost to aquire isn't really fair.

I just realized how extra hilarious this ACGM is. A pure cap dump like Anderson gets a better return than a young 1C like PLD.

Only a Montreal fan could come up with something so incredibly unrealistic and silly.awesome face

13th 2023, 2 of 3 prospect like Kidney, Mesar or Harris and an active roster NHL player can do it.

And your underlying premise is wrong . . . Los Angeles doesn't have a "strong defense" -- we're the only team of the 19 in serious contention for a playoff spot with a negative goal differential, and that's while being above average in goal scoring. Our success so far this season is in spite of our defense, not because of it. And not all of the fault can be laid at the feet of our goalies.

What we need from you is one of Kaiden Guhle, Arber Xhekaj or Jordan Harris. Guhle is probably out of reach, and you can't realistically trade Harris because he went out of his way to sign with you only this year, so the focus is on Xhekaj and whether he's available. And even he is a future-oriented acquisition -- he doesn't fill the need for a quality, defensive defender right now (which Joel Edmundson isn't, either).

Even those players are too young, it isn't often a team entering a rebuild and a team leaving a rebuild have much to trade. Montreal is better suited to get assets from a win now team, like they did from Florida last deadline.

Precisely, hence my last sentence. We need both a left-handed Durzi/Roy type now and a quality first-class lefty for the future.

Of course, if Ryan Johnson spurns the Sabres and signs with us . . .
