Nice trades for Buffalo but you’ll need to add to Korczak trade

Fair. I'm just hoping it would be a minimal add.

I think that's spot on for what Grier is looking for. Sharks would definitely take that.

If I were him, I'd ask if you would downgrade the 2nd to a 3rd or 4th, in order to get Kulich instead of Ostlund.

Overall, I'd be thrilled with this return

Think you’d owe a second at least and mid range prospect

Think Montreal declines that. Hughes likes Matheson, he fits a need and Montreal isn't really getting anything that they'd really want in return.

I don't see MTL trading Matheson.

Besides the personal relationship between the GM and player he's also a local guy who's the safety net for the young dmen. He'd probably cost more than you'd be willing to pay.

Edmundson or Savard would would be more realistic targets. If I was an opposing GM the guy I would enquire about is Kovacevic. He's super underrated, has really decent fancy stats, is under league min for the next 2 seasons and is a pretty good skater and 6'4. Don't know what the price would be but he doesn't seem as important to management as the other young guys.

It's a strange one, he's got a lot of things going for him but doesn't seem all that valued. Could be anywhere between a 2nd to a 5th IMO.

Habs decline (or at least would come back with a counter offer). The value isn't far off, but Montreal needs every bit of help they can on D.

Sharks accept, depending on whether they prefer Ostlund or Rosen.

I’d suspect they’d go for centre

To be fair, it might take an overpay if we get into a bidding war with Jersey

We’ll just have to see how it goes

I saw today that the Rangers are pretty seriously looking at Meier as well. I'd be surprised if anything happens until after the All star break though
