Expensive for a rental, but probably what San Jose is looking for in order to move him.

It wouldn't be a rental. Any team trading for Meier (Devils, Rangers) are looking to extend him long-term. He's just about worth his qualifying offer so that's not really an issue.

Uh that requires a team has the cap space to do so. The Rangers do not.

It looks like they'll have roughly $!6M in the offseason. They can try to make it work.

With having to sign Chytil and Miller and fill out the roster it’s literally impossible. All the big contracts have NMC’s.

I wouldn't say it's impossible. Miller has no arb rights. They have a lot of leverage with their RFAs.

Yeah but Chytil is and he’s playing very well this year. Likely going to cost more than originally thought. Will be interesting to see what happens.
