Karl Alzner will be the 2nd highest D man after Kevin Shattenkirk, No way does he sign for the little probably more like 5 years @ $5.5 million give or take.

As an Islander fan i'd take that deal for Carter, though i'd likely take it from LAK too, or at least consider it. But to tell the truth i think Duchene is a 2nd liner so i don't see the isles doing that one, but you have to remember Garth Snow is the GM, so he might do that, lol. I think that might be a bit of an overpayment for Halak, but pretty close i'd say. Alzner would cost more to sign, and i think Vegas would rather have De-Haan than Kulemin and 3 3rds. But the Carter deal looks pretty good.

I think you are way way over paying for Duchene though i am curious about the current status of the development of Dal Colle. Also as an Sabres fan talking to an islanders fan what would it take to get D. Toews off your farm team?

Isles fans please stop trading Halak to Calgary for a fourth round pick. You've been doing it for 2 years already! He's our best goalie, now we want Condon instead? Give me a break
