You are giving up a lot but I still don't think it's enough. Kerfoot/Engvall are cap throw-ins. Might be able to flip Kerfoot for a 3rd to another contender.

Knies + 1st = Probably not enough for Buch/Barbashev. Buch is young and controlled for 2.5 seasons at $5.8M for a PPG player that is probably 2 1sts and an A prospect. Barbashev is probably a 2nd round pick.

Leafs aren't trading Holl. He's become an important part of their D. I'm not a Holl fan but I give credit where it's deserved.

Purely a money move. I think paying a 6th defenceman 2 million is a luxury this team can't afford if they want to add significant pieces in the top 9.

Has Holl really been a 6D this season given all the injuries on the Leafs Blueline? He's logged a ton of minutes. I don't think Holl will be re-signed. Timmins seems like his cheaper replacement. But Dubas values Holl more than anyone else does so I'll be surprised if he's traded at the deadline.

I agree. And Holl has been way better as of late, eating up a lot of important minutes while Brodie and Rielly were out. Both Dubas and Keefe want him around.
