Yea, if I were him I would have asked for a short term deal, then once that expires sign a huge and expensive contract. Guess he wasn't all for the money.

This is a very similar deal to Roman Josi's (28/7). The way this contract works is that Ghost isn't really worth the 4.5 AAV for the first one-three years of the contract, but on the latter, he is worth more

Wow. Good job, Philly! This contract will be AMAZING for Philly being that Shayne still has incredible potential, and is still very young and can grow.

Always worries me when a player does that, get their guaranteed money for the long term so they stop trying 100%.
