Not even close for Chychrun, The reported ask from Edmonton was one of Broberg/Holloway and 2 1st round picks. You're nowhere near that.

And why would Chicago have any interest what so ever in either Cody Ceci or Jesse Puljujarvi?

And i see Jonathan Toews either going home to Winnipeg or to Colorado not Edmonton.

I could nitpick, but if you are sending a 1st for Toews and he is willing to go to EDM, CHI accepts. I don't think JP has much if any value, but I'd be willing to give him another shot. I don't want Ceci. But again, if there is a 1st involved and EDM needs those contracts moved, I think we could make it happen.

Toews is reportedly worth a second and would take a 3rd to retain 25% salary.

Frank seravali just said today the ask is two first round picks and a B level prospect. No team has a broberg or holloway they are trading.

Yeah well that's what Bill Armstrong wants from Edmonton for Chychrun, He likes both Broberg and Holloway plus the 2 1st. And Seravalli is wrong as it comes to 3 equivalent 1st round picks for Chychrun that came from jeff Marek.

Of course everyone likes good players. Reid schaefer is as good of a prospect as anyone else has to offer who is also a first round pick.

I'm not sure I would trade Bouchard for Chychrun straight up, let alone adding a 1st and a recent 1st round pick. That's a stupid overpay and you want more?? Not a chance.

I'm not a fan of Bouchard; a very low sense of urgency. I think Broberg is already better than him and don't want to move him or Holloway. I thought the ask was equivalent to 3 first-rounders for Chychrun and those are my three least valuable. I don't see anyone offering more and I think it is time to go all in with a weak West and expiring contracts. Overpay is OK as long as we get the right guy.

Toews is the other key component as he brings actual leadership, not the kind Keith brought. They need someone to guide Connor and Leon and legitimately hold them accountable. The first-rounder along with 2 serviceable contracts works for Chicago and helps with the Oiler cap. Chicago could flip Ceci, but in my opinion he is overpaid for a mid to bottom pairing defenceman on a cup contender.
