Description

From a Vegas perspective, Patrick and 2 3rds is probably cheapest price you will pay for a guy who can play in the top 6, you dont love the cap hit but you will be able to "Kucherov" Stone until the playoffs, will probably have to move Marchy, Smith, or Brock at the draft to make the cap fit for next year though.

From a Van perspective, not the most amazing return but you are shedding a full 5.45 million in cap space with this trade, you arent going to do that with any other team other than Carolina who also have that kind of space due to LTIR, 5.45 million in cap space is worth a 1st round pick all day long in todays cap world.

Change Patrick and Howden and sure. Not getting a guy that has spent his entire NHL Career in the quiet room. I feel for Patrick but he doesn't help this deal.

Agreed that trade makes it seem Boeser is a useless 6m player. He still has value though next year I believe he'll show it more cause wasn't his wrist injury during preseason similar to the one Petey suffered the year before which led to his poor start to last season where everyone started thinking he was garbage?
