I like the Garland fit..... although for Declan amd a 2nd I wonder if you can't get the Canucks to retain $1 million.

Are you out of your mind? Canucks decline without retaining.

Garland struggled a bit this year, we just hired Tocchet and now Garland has 2G 4A in the last 6GP. He's an upper-tier middle-six forward who is excellent along the boards and at retrieving pucks.

If he returns to 50-60 pts, which it looks like he will considering his best years were with Tocchet, then the cap hit is starting to look cheap as the cap increases over the duration of the contract.

You're not getting him for a 23-year-old AHL offensive d-man and a 2nd-round pick.... with retained money? The Canucks laugh you out of the atmosphere.

Ummmmm...... I didn't create this ACGM, just saying I like the fit.

Secondly, the Canucks are and remain a tire fire. I don't think anything is out of the question.

Doesn't make me insane. Makes me pragmatic asking if that is a possibility.

Choose words more carefully.
