It’s not a bad package, I’d probably try and squeeze a little more draft capital out of Boston tho.

One big flaw in this is, you’re not extending Larkin. I just don’t see how the money would work with doing that AND bringing Pastrnak back.

IF Larkin was traded to Boston, it’d likely be as a rental.

Boston's 1st is going to be 29th-32nd overall. Not enough value.

I think the Canucks could do better than a 2025 2nd for schenn without taking back any cap.

Yzerman and Larkin are about 800k apart right now according to Ansar Khan. He's the main beat writer for the Red Wings and is quite plugged in. I think Larkin will come in around Horvat money. Maybe slightly more. He's not leaving Detroit. But I'm done stating my Larkin staying in Detroit case so I'll just wait until the trade deadline passes at this point.

Canucks wouldn't take money back to get what will essentially be a third round draft pick since the Bruins pick will be the last pick in round 2. Joona is nothing as he is a 24 year old still in the minors.

Pass, Not even close to getting Larkin. And he wants close to $9,000,000 from Detroit so he'd want $10,000,000 from Boston. And you don't have it.

So trade all this for Larkin only to not have money for Pasta. A second for a 7th defenseman? Horrible asset management.

It’s a really deep draft this year. So more value than a normal year.

7th defenseman on the bruins. And would be a depth player that would add a lot to a playoff run when Carlo undoubtedly get hurt. Lol. Plus it’s also for taking Reilly’s contract.

It's a good package for Larkin, if it comes to having to move him

Give up on the idea of adding a center this year. Don’t do major roster surgery to a team playing this well. It’s a bad concept.

I like the idea of schenn as a 7th d though.

For the same reasons as Horvat, it makes no sense for BOS to trade for Larkin.

I’m glad you think Boston will still be a top team in 2025. I’m not so sure.

Kind of an ironic take on Joona considering what Nuckheads think Rathbone is worth. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They both are. I think she was closer to Holland though.

Canucks decline. 2nd is fine for Schenn and Koppanen doesn't add much of anything to the deal. Canucks want to clear cap and wouldn't take a multi-year cap dump in Reilly back for anything short of a 1st probably. If the Bruins are adamant about including Reilly, the Canucks can just turn around and find someone else who will give up a 2nd straight up for Schenn.

Can’t remember if it was during an intermission of a bruins game or if it was one of the podcasts he was on but it was Eliot Freidman.

Dont think thats enough to get Barbashev or Schenn (especially since ur dumping Reilly to VAN)

Thats a lot going back to DET for Larkin for a potential rental, but if he resigns (which is highly unlikely) it could be worth although i dont see freddy going the other way

Yeah the same guy who has been predicting Bertuzzi to Toronto at every TDL and every off season for the past 4yrs.
