That doesn't get you Chychrun at full value, let alone retaining on him for the next 2.5 years or so.

And Kuzmenko was just resigned to a 2 yr $5,500,000 contract. So he's going to cost far more than a 3rd round pick.

Canucks obviously decline. Kuzmenko is a near PPG winger who has fit in seamlessly beside Pettersson and whoever is chosen to play the other wing (Mikheyev, Boeser, Beauvillier, etc.). Canucks just extended Kuzmenko and have no reason to trade him, especially for such an underpay. He was worth a 1st as a rental and after being extended, it would take at least either 2 1sts or a 1st plus Knies/Niemela to pry him away from Vancouver. Canucks counter with Nylander for a 3rd.
