Edmonton is better off with their 1st, Puljujarvi, Foegele and Bourgault.

Sending Edmonton vastly overpriced assets is not helping them!! Easy decline.

Puljujärvi will be on waiver next week, maybe a team will pick him but I doubt. His QO is 3M... So EDM will pay to get a ride to Puljujärvi and Foegele 5.75M this year and 2.75M next year. Edmundson value is a 2nd round pick and a B prospect. EDM have to be creative if they want cap space and a playoff spot

Edmundson has a back injury, those don't just magically go away. He's a cap liability due to his extra year and injury issues. Puljujarvi and Foegele can at least play hockey.

There's nothing here that's worth a 1st or a recent 1st round pick, let alone both.

Edmunson is really broken down, not worth putting good assets into.

And so what if Puljujarvi ends up on waivers, he's still an NHL player and so is Foegele, realistically they could demote Foegele next season if they really felt the need and it'd be like $1.6M of dead cap which isn't a huge deal, trading a recent 1st round pick and an upcoming 1st to move out two minor cap dumps who are legit NHL players in exchange for a broken down LHD with another year of term would be terrible cap and asset management imo.

Edmundson isn't a good dman and probably wouldn't crack our top 3 on the left side, giving up a first and Bourgault for him is sort of pointless...
If we're going to pay this much why not go after ROR or EK?
