Canucks pass easily. Beauvillier has been good with Pettersson so far, and they definitely aren’t taking on two cap dumps + trading Demko for that low of a return

lol sure. I had Kings fans telling me that Demko was a huge risk and wasnt worth a late 1st and 2nd. These are two firsts and Beauvilier is a cap dump. Allen definitely isnt a cap dump. Armia sure.

Demko is a risky buy for any team right now yes, but the Canucks aren’t going to sell low on him. If a team wants him they’ll have to pay a high price. Beauvillier is probably neutral value, but no reason for the Canucks to trade him right now. And no need to bring in a goalie who has one good season over the last 5 and is overpaid.

Beauvillier at 4.15 > Allen at 3.85

And Armia arguably costs a 1st to dump. If you call Beauvillier and Allen neutral that leaves a protected 1st for Demko. The Canucks aren’t doing that

How do you move Kulak 4 year deal at 2.75M AAV?

If they are serious about making upgrades to their roster, they got to think outside the box when it's as Holland says, dollar in, dollar out.

Allen is not a cap dump and he's been better than Demko.

Demko had 15 bad games while injured and playing behind one of the worst defenses and statistically the worst PK of all time. He was elite the previous two seasons. Allen has one good season in the last 5, and his extension has him making just under 4M

Its a 2nd and Bourgault. Everything else is filler. Edmundson at retention will be more costly than Gavrikov as its a 1.75M AAV next season. Gavrikov gets double that at least in free agency. You are paying for the cap space. This would be the low end offer, I doubt Hughes accepts it when he can get Nurse a max 9.25M AAV as a agent from Ken Holland.

I know full well what he is. I was offering Kulak for a 3rd round pick last TDL and some here were calling him a negative asset. The fact being his cap is better used elsewhere in the McDrai window.

I have a hard time believing the Canucks would get more for Demko than a mid 1st at worst that is unprotected, another unprotected 1st and another asset in Allen they can flip or keep for stability in nets if they are serious about getting younger.
