Meier. I want Meier, I think the Leafs can pay the price and I think they could fit him moving forward.

Seems like so much interest in Chychrun right now not sure if leafs can get it done without Knies included. Going to be exciting to see! If Dubas can pull that off, whew they’ll be as tough of an opponent you can get!

Vejmelka isn't going to be a throw in, he's probably costing a 1st+. I might have read somewhere that it would be a 1st+2nd.So, I don't think they can get all 3. They don't need Vejmelka, they would likely place Murray on LTIR. Then deal Engvall or Holl (unlikely) for cheaper replacements.

Getting both Chychrun and Meier is unlikely especially without Knies but it is possible. I think other GMs would have to be sleeping at the wheel though.

Sandin+a 2024 1st + Niemela + a 2024 2nd is a solid offer. There is probably going to be better, and they might even demand a 2023 1st instead of the two 2024 picks, but they aren't throwing bricks with brown inscriptions through windows.

Other teams probably would but Buffalo has no reason to overpay, they already have 3 solid LHD. I don't think they are going to pay a premium just to have 2 LHD playing on their offsides.

I would answer: Ty WHAT? And hang up.
Even if you revoke the 50% retention and Toronto retains half on Kerfoot and send Murray to Shenaniganistan, San Jose would not do this. Forward market seems not to be crazy expensive this TDL in contrast to Ben Chiarot D market in the past, but still you will find way better offers than that for a power forward with this scoring ability.

Sandin is a young D-man with top 4 potential, he might not be that but he's for certain an NHL player. Niemela is at least a B-prospect. I'm not overvaluing anyone. You're just expecting the Chychrun haul to be massive which it might be, but that doesn't change the fact that this offer is a solid one.

They won't and have moved on from Chychrun, Arizona wanted Savoie and the Sabres said No. Chychrun is going to LA unless someone came in with a even more stupid offer. Buffalo should go get Timo in my opinion and Murphy

I feel like assets can be better used. I like the idea of Chychrun, hell I love the idea of Chychrun. But I just don’t know if it’s going to work. That said I think a package that involves a first and Sandin is a very good start but good chance it’s also going to involve Knies as well (based on asking price of 1st +1st equivalent+B prospect although the Leafs should look to try and send a contract back as well to make room for other deals)

I feel like you could acquire 2 players that could make an impact for the cost of Chychrun and while the long term may not be as huge as what Chychrun could bring It would be a smarter use of limited assets to fill more needs.

Disagree on Connor Murphy, they probably will have to pay a hefty price of a 1st+ for him just to be disappointed. If they splash on Meier, they can be patient on the RD or get a cheaper guy.

I think Buffalo will try to land either Dumba or Severson if they hit free agency next year.

I agree on Severson, but I think Murphy would be a good partner for Power and just let the kid play Hockey and develop. But you could be right on the Cost, especially if McCabe gets a 1st. There not gonna splash on Timo, they won't pay the money. I just think he would be the perfect fit for Cozens. He needs help, JJ and Quinn are gonna be good players but they both are struggling mightily right know

I think Peterka could be a Meier-type anyways. Him and Quinn are very young, so it's expected. If they pass on Meier it's probably for the better. Of course, Addams should make moves to improve the team if he can but there's no urgency to overpay to make a splash especially since the Atlantic is super competitive. Once they get the backend sorted (I think that will be their strength), through development+additions, then they should look to fix holes up front imo.

They need to strengthen the D prospect pipeline, they have nothing especially if Johnson walks. They really missed on pick 41 last year. Especially with it looking like Luneau could get a look next year. Sabres really should look into upgrading their whole bottom 3 on defense.

Like so many posts, yes it is possible. But what's the plan for next season for Meire's 5.5m raise (approximately) and other signings the Leafs have.
Funny in that Meier trade narrative, you mention the LW that includes Bunting....well no cap for him next season.

Chychrun is injured 50% of the time. NO NO NO for Toronto please. Don't waste assets on him. He's great but unreliable.
